There aren’t many producers that have made the level of impact in the past year as Miguel Campbell. The Leeds based producer who has been making music since the 90’s catapulted into our subconscious with his track Something Special, for Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ top 4 label in the RA polls of 2011, Hot Creations. The record continues to shake up dance floors across the globe despite now being almost a year old. One can see the catchy Something Special in the far future still being played and being called a classic. It’s been reported that Miguel has a big year of releases coming up with a debut LP to follow his hit singles coming soon on Hot Creations and is also going to have us moving with some tasty tracks and mixes under his alter ego MAM.
Miguel Campbell’s label Outcross Records is due to re-launch in a week after taking a lengthy three-year break. First up for release is the EP I Can Fly that Miguel has put together with Matt Hughes. The independent label aims to present the most innovative artists today and to explore the genetics of house music, whilst looking at the various elements which make your head bounce, whatever the genre.
