The Olympics are here and you just got paid, it's time to blow your whole paycheck this weekend and spend the rest of the month eating noodles and looking at photos on facebook of the parties you went to at the beginning of the month when you had loads of money. With Eastern Electrics occupying most people's Saturday day, there are plenty of other nights that should definitely get a look in this weekend:
1. Recession Sound System Triathalon at Jaguar Shoes, 3rd-6th August
That's right, it;s a triathalon. Even more exciting than the prospect of a three day party is the fact that it's free entry, all weekend. It's also in the trendy little hotspot that is Jaguar Shoes, so get squeeze your tightest jeans on and dust your feather headband off and form an orderly queue. With Chamboche, Fudge Fingas and Lord Of the Isles on the Friday, Thomas Bullock and special guests on the Saturday and RSS residents all of Sunday, its bound to be a banger.
2. Feed Your Ears at Brixton Clubhouse 3rd August.
Feed Your Ears, your mind and your face at Brixton Clubhouse. The second of a three part boutique club night experience, Harry Wolfman (Purp & Soul) and Behling and Simpson (Futureboogie), are playing at Brixton Clubhouse which has not one, but two very nice decked terraces, perfect for a summer evening of debauchery.
3. Deadly Rhythm With MK and Trus'Me at Corscia Studios 4th August.
House legend Marc Kinchen is in town for Eastern Electrics and will be playing afterwards at Corsica Studios alongside Trus'Me, an experience no one should miss! Swag.
