Boys Noize Labels Dance Music As 'Generic' And 'Soulless'

Alex Ridha, aka Boys Noize, has been a busy man of late, recording a mix for Mad Decent boss Diplo for his new BBC Radio One program and preparing for the release of his new album 'Out Of The Black'.

In between his hectic schedule, Ridha also took the time to sit down for an interview with Rolling Stone, where he shared his opinion on the current development of electronic music, revealing he would rather push his audience than conform to what is played on radio day to day.

"I always love to play jacking stuff and harder stuff," he said. "Right now, like in the last two years, a lot of the electronic music, or what you call now EDM, it feels too generic for me sometimes and a bit soulless."

'Out Of The Black' will be released on October 1st.
