Scuba has decided to let it all out & unleash “true stories” on his twitter page. Handbag DJ’s such as Calvin Harris & David Guetta (who has just announced he will be working with pop star Rihanna) have been the main target.
It all started with Scuba reading Nicky Romero’s tweet saying “Wow David Guetta ( @davidguetta) killing it!" Complete with a picture of David Guetta taking a photo of his massive crowd.
Scuba then begins:
"Could there be a more undeserving person on stage who records what he sees on a camcorder? Seriously?? #tosser"
"if you're on stage you're performing, you're not a tourist.... perform, don't take photos or video of the audience... esp if you're getting paid millions of dollars.. and/or maybe you suspect those kind of contracts might not be available indefinitely?"
"David Guetta must be the most insecure person in the music industry tbh... that's quite an impressive title... I'm guessing he has regular episodes where he becomes convinced he's naked and has to get away from all the people who can see him....?"
"Guetta is an easy target, I realise.... I've got an amazing story about Calvin Harris which I will share if this gets more than 100 RTs...
Can you guess what happened next? Scuba got well over 100 retweets and then shared this:
"Calvin Harris got a remix off similarly famous DJ; on delivery instructed mastering guy to sabotage the mix to make his version sound better".
“Remix never came out btw, was pulled after much wrangling”
"Scuba" is now a trending topic basic on Twitter in the UK and has generated a great deal of attention through this campaign. It's no secret that creating a bit of controversy is great for visibility, just ask DJ Sneak. Love it or hate it, trash talking has become quite the thing to do these days in the electronic music scene.
