WMC dates have been announced for 2011 with the conference being held from March 8th – 12th at the Miami Beach Convention Center and, more importantly, venues downtown and in South Beach that host the 250 odd events held around the main conference. The WMC comes sooner than normal this time round, causing quite a stir amongst WMC punters, agencies, labels, promoters and DJs who traditionally expect WMC to take place over the last week of March.
This move also means fans of regular faces at the WMC; Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath and Loco Dice, will miss out on seeing the artists as all 3 will be in Australia for the Future Music Festival. Please let us know of any other artists who will not be making it due to the unexpected date change, in our comments below.
